All students have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting and rewarding project which encompasses many of the skills needed for employment and independence.
Students from various courses work alongside each other to produce and sell good quality, innovative products through our on-site shop, market stall, and various fayres and events around Doncaster and the local area. The vast majority of products are produced in the joinery workshop where the project enables all those involved to be able to make products they are proud of, whether a full-time construction student, or a student from elsewhere in the college accessing the workshop once a week.
Students from catering, horticulture, car maintenance and business studies also produce products which are sold by the team.
Those working for the retail team gain employability skills, IT skills, money management and communication skills, but also grow in confidence and self-esteem throughout their time working there.
