People are spending more time and money on recreation, leisure and well-being, creating a shortage of qualified personnel within the sport, leisure and fitness industry.
As well as providing students with sport and leisure qualifications, we offer additional essential training that equips students with transferable skills relevant to further or higher education, employment and independence.
Foundation and Beyond
Award, Certificate and Diploma in Sport (QCF) - Level 1
These qualifications are aimed at those preparing to embark on a career in the sport and active leisure industry, or wishing to practically participate in a number of activities. They are practical, hands-on qualifications which are designed to prepare the candidate for work in a multitude of sport and leisure activities and raise awareness of how and where to participate in sporting opportunities.
Award, Certificate and Diploma in Sport (QCF) - Level 2
These qualifications develop the knowledge required for health and safety, anatomy and physiology, safeguarding and protecting children and young people in sport and also involve practical elements to participation in sport such as physical preparation and technical and tactical requirements for sports performance. They are practical, hands-on qualifications which are designed to prepare the candidate for work in a multitude of sport and leisure facilities and raise awareness of how and where to participate in sporting opportunities.
Award, Certificate and Diploma in Sport (QCF) - Level 3
These qualifications develop the knowledge required for health, safety and risk management, anatomy and physiology for exercise and health, factors affecting participation and physical activity, events management for sport and leisure and also involved practical elements to participation in sport such as physical preparation and technical and tactical requirements for sports performance
