Salary £28,572 to £30,671 per annum (Depending on experience) - Permanent Full Time (37 hours per week) - 45 days annual leave

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, responsible person with excellent organisation, IT skills and an eye for detail to join us as EHCP Coordinator. You will be responsible for liaising cross college and with external professionals to ensure compliance with the SEN Code of practice and to meet statutory deadlines. You will produce and accurately maintain EHCP data. You will work to a high standard, often independently, and be able to efficiently prioritise work.

You will require flexibility, excellent IT skills (including Microsoft Office and familiarity with wider IT applications), the ability to handle confidential information, and to provide a high level of customer service at all times.

 

Responsible for:

  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality support for students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP)
  • Conduct students’ Education, Health, and Care plan annual reviews.
  • To work alongside curriculum staff to plan effective strategies for meeting the needs of individual students through effective teaching and learning.
  • To assist managers in assessing cost mapping for students depending on their level of need.
  • Collating reports for students’ annual reviews
  • Undertaking training across curriculum areas to support the needs of students.
  • Maintaining close links with curriculum areas to support and review students’ progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaising with curriculum areas on an ongoing basis to ensure students achievement towards their program of study and EHCP outcomes
  • Undertaking termly reviews with the student and curriculum area to support achievement.
  • Ensuring all students long term and medium terms goals are kept up to date on the Colleges’ MIS
  • To work closely with the Data Officer to present student progress data
  • To work both as part of a team or unsupervised, prioritising own work and meeting deadlines.
  • To meet deadlines for collating documentation from all parties involved.
  • To keep up to date with changes to practice and policies with regards to SEND and EHCPs
  • To liaise with staff, pupils, parents, carers, professionals, volunteers and visitors to maintain the high standards.

Essential criteria:

  • Level 2 qualification in a vocational or key skill area
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a level 3 qualification linked to
  • support, learning or disability.
  • Level 2 Math's and English (willingness to work towards)
  • BSL qualification (willingness to work towards)
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to students with difficulties/disabilities e.g SEND code of practice.
  • A broad understanding of curriculum areas
  • Experience of working with adults with hearing impairments, learning difficulties and/or disabilities
  • Experience of working with individuals with behavioural support needs, autism spectrum disorder/Neurodiversity and Learning Disabilities
  • IT literate with a working knowledge of MS office, in particular: Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and prioritisation skills
