Delivery model

People can either self-refer or be referred to Aspire to Be from agencies including Local Authorities, various Housing Associations and Job Centres across the South Yorkshire regions. A typical programme would be for three days a week either full or half day sessions up to contract end. 

Once we accept a referral, we:

  • Conduct a full assessment of need
  • Provide a support package based on that need which is reviewed on a regular basis
  • Offer information, advice and guidance throughout to ensure a smooth transition into learning and employment

All training and one to one advice and guidance is supported by British Sign Language where applicable. 

Non-Accredited Awards: Covers Logistics, Housekeeping/ General cleaning, Hospitality, NHS Support Services, Retail/ Customer services, and Adult Social Care .Our learning modules not only cover basic industry standards but also incorporate job-specific duties and expectations, ensuring comprehensive preparation for the workplace.

Simulated Work Environments: We have six simulated work areas on site where participants can gain hands-on experience. These environments work in conjunction with our non-accredited training programs, providing practical, real-world skills that enhance learning and job readiness.

Employability :  Sessions cover CV writing, job search, application and interview    support, travel and  employer liaison intervention for mock interviews, site visits and work trials.

Confidence and MotivationFlip it—a program consisting of 10 key stages designed to build confidence and set realistic personal goals. It focuses on identifying strengths, understanding how others perceive you, and recognising the impact of your actions on your life. This program can be adapted to suit various age groups and learning abilities, ensuring that everyone can benefit from its insights and strategies.

IAG (Information, Advice, and Guidance): From the very beginning, we provide information, advice, and guidance to assist with decision-making and career journey planning. We also offer signposting and referral support to appropriate external services that provide specialised expertise.

The service can provide access to specialists, in particular Speech & Language        Therapists and Occupational Therapists, to support individuals with their needs and to     support employers with access strategies with a focus on communication and                  adaptations.

 

Our team works to look at the ability not the disability - setting realistic goals, building confidence so people feel able to move into employment.
