The Communications Specialist College, Doncaster, has been successful in their application for a grant to the Essential Life Skills fund and we're going to use the money to launch two Youth Clubs. The clubs will be open for 15-18 year olds and will be as inclusive as possible. We want young people who wouldn't usually get the opportunity to belong to a youth-club to come along and enjoy themselves. We'll be offering a really broad range of sports activities, craft projects, music nights, quizzes and some skills experiences, from growing your own fruit and veg to mending engines or applying make-up. In fact, members will be able to make suggestions about what they would like to do and we'll aim to try and make it happen.

BUT - we need some volunteers to help us. You may just want to gain some experience of working with young people with disabilities, or you could be pursuing a career in teaching or social work and want to add to your CV. Maybe you have a talent you can share and simply have some time to spare that you'd like to use constructively. Whatever your reason, we'd love to hear from you.

Two clubs will run on different evenings of the week between 6.30 and 8.00 pm. If you can spare a few hours, enjoy working with young people and would like to help us, please get in touch by calling 01302-386720 and asking for Andy or Stacey (Monday to Friday only 08.00 - 15.30) or e-mailing; [email protected].

Thank you.
