Where your money goes Donations to our fundraising efforts support many activities at the Trust. For example; purchasing audiology equipment, maintaining a minibus, updating outdoor play and gym equipment; equipping a room with sensory equipment to support pupils and students with additional special needs; updating kitchen equipment or learning resources and funding educational activity visits. All deaf pupils and students deserve an opportunity to achieve their full potential. Playing is part of a child`s physical, social and psychological development and is crucial to a child’s health and well-being. Donations which help us to buy new play equipment and support extracurricular activities ensure our pupils and students have a more exciting and stimulating experience. This also gives them the opportunity to be independent, find out about themselves and their abilities and have fun. The Trust is committed to offering a variety of appropriate social activities to enhance the curriculum and to improve the quality of life for our pupils and students. During the last year, donations have helped the Trust in a number of ways; by helping send a pupil with additional needs to Disneyland Paris, equipping a sensory room, the installation of an all-weather outdoor sports court, purchasing learning tools and subsidising school outings. We are grateful to the many organisations and individuals who have contributed to the Trust; we hope we can count on your ongoing support. However your donation is used, you can be assured it will help our young people reach their full potential. There are a variety of ways to support Doncaster Deaf Trust as an individual, group or business. You might wish to join in one or more of our planned activities or hold a fundraising event for us. If you are planning to fundraise for the Trust please let us know as we can help you plan your fundraising, provide resources to support your efforts and help promote any event your organisation is planning to raise money for us. Alternatively, we are always looking for volunteers. It doesn't matter if you can spare an hour or a day, rest assured, we will be eternally grateful!
