As of May 2021 we are in the process of recruiting two new posts in support our fundraising. For us, this is a very new and exciting step-change given that we've never had a truly bespoke fundraising function here at Doncaster Deaf Trust. These roles will be a full time Corporate and Community Fundraiser as well as a part-time Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, supported by the existing Team Lead. And what's more is that we have a new and exciting project in the pipeline!
Our planned project, which will keep fundraising busy, is that of developing a new cafe and shop facility within our existing site. We've had a small shop on site in a portacabin for around three years and it’s time to give it a new home. We're so fortunate in having a redundant swimming pool which we'll develop into a new car maintenance facility with MOT bay given that our car maintenance team currently occupy the Hockenhull building, a lovely listed building which will make a perfect cafe and shop. Within this new facility we will be showcasing the very best from our joinery, horticulture and hair and beauty students via our new shop, and the enterprise will be run by our students and staff team to give real life, hands on vocational experience.
The public will be able to enjoy a great cuppa whilst perusing and purchasing from our wide range of available goods.
If you'd like to talk to us about any of the above, perhaps you're interested in the two roles or feel you'd love to help fundraise with us, then please call and ask for Ian Proudler. We'd love to hear from you
