History is a popular subject at Key Stage 3 where pupils enjoy extending their historical knowledge of events, people and key changes in British and World History.  Pupils also undertake a study of the History of Doncaster in which the foundation and history of Doncaster School for the Deaf itself plays a key part. They are encouraged to develop their investigative and research skills to undertake historical enquiry and start to develop analytical and evaluation skills by looking at historical sources and different interpretations of the past.  At Key Stage 4, History is an optional subject where pupils can choose to study towards a GCSE or Unit Award qualifications.
