City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in cutting women's hair 

7 Mandatory Units are:

  • Working in the hair industry
  • Health & Safety 
  • Client consultation
  • Shampoo & Condition
  • Promote products & services
  • Cutting Women's Hair
  • The art of dressing hair 

Choice of 9 additional units;

Colour & lightening hair, Perm & neutralising hair, cutting men's hair, cutting facial hair, creating a themed image, displaying stock to promote sales, scalp massage, reception duties.

City & Guilds Level 1 Introduction to hair & beauty

2 Mandatory Units are:

  • Introduction to hair & beauty sector
  • Personal presentation

Choice of 13 units, some of which include;

Styling women's and men's hair, Plaiting hair, basic make-up, themed face painting, nail art, basic manicure, pedicure, Colouring hair using temporary colour, Creating an image, Health & Safety, Reception duties and working with others

City & Guilds Entry 3 Introduction to hair & beauty 

2 Mandatory Units are:

  • Introduction to hair & beauty sector 
  • Personal presentation

Choice of 5 units, some of which include;

Shampoo & condition, Plaiting, Creating an image, Basic skin care, Basic nail care.

Other Qualifications

We also offer in house certificates which help to build the foundation of knowledge in personal presentation and personal care which could possibly lead to further courses offered by City & Guilds.

These courses are good to build confidence and dexteriity skills and to become familiar with the tools, equipment and the environment and taking care and becoming more independent

Other Information

Students will learn technical terms used in industry, practical skills and theoretical knowledge.

Tutors will also cover things such as; spellings, sentence structure, time, money and numeracy skills.

  

  

  

Beauty Therapy Courses

We offer City & Guilds courses that take students from an introduction of the sector through to working in the beauty industry, as well as offering an in-house Entry 1 and Entry 2 certificate

City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in beauty therapy services

3 Mandatory Units are:

  • Monitor and maintain health & safety in the salon
  • Promote and sell products and services to clients
  • Provide full body massage

Choice of 16 units, some of which include;

Massage with pre-blended aromatherapy oils, Indian head massage, Self tanning, icro-dermabrasion, Maintain personal health and wellbeing. Stone therapy massage.

City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in beauty therapy services

8 Mandatory Units are:

  • Working in the beauty industry
  • Health & Safety
  • Client care & communication 
  • Facial skincare
  • Manicure
  • Pedicure
  • Make up
  • Shaping & colouring eyebrows

Choice of 8 units;

Creating an image, Provide nail art, Reception duties, Photographic make up, Body art design, Indian Head Massage, Tanning techniques, Facial care for men
