Here at Doncaster Deaf Trust, we want all our students to be able to take part in as many community and social activities as possible. Just this week our football team took part in a competition in Sheffield and came second, for example. Later this year, we're hosting the NatSpec games, a competition a bit like a mini Paralympics with disabled students from over 30 colleges taking part in a variety of sports; some held here and so held at other colleges. Later this year, like last year, our brilliant Horticulture students will be going to the Chelsea flower show, where they'll be able to see some of the hanging basket and static display creations being used by Walker's Nursery. Our students go the the cinema and the theatre, local sporting events and do everything that many of us take for granted. Of course, there's one common denominator needed for all of this to happen - transport. We desperately need a mini-bus, capable of carrying between 8 to 10 people, including wheelchair users and that means buying a mini-bus, which isn't cheap. In fact, we can get some help for this but we need to raise £17,000, which will enable us to buy a bus worth £35,000. We hope you feel able to help us to achieve our target and keep the smiles on our students' faces. Thank you.
