Families are being invited to a special open day at Communication Specialist College Doncaster, which aims to outline support available for young people with communication difficulties.

The event, which will take place on Thursday 28 November from 10am to 2pm, is set to welcome parents of children and young people who are deaf, have autism or communication issues, and will enable people to find out more about learning at the college.

Rebecca Loosemore, assistant principal at communication specialist college Doncaster, said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming families to our open day.  It is a great opportunity to see our college, speak to our managers and discuss how we can help students.

“We provide a wide range of learning programmes for students with communication difficulties including Hearing Impairments, ASD and Learning Difficulties at all levels.

"Our students have the chance to develop a wide variety of skills - ranging from personal, social and life skills through to vocational skills where appropriate. It will be a great event for all families who wish to find out more about the specialist teaching we have on offer at the College.”
