Our college has been able to set up another classroom thanks to donations from a local retail outlet.

We received the kind donation of tables and chairs from Lakeside Village, a shopping outlet based in Doncaster with 45 stores in its centre.

We have used the donation to get a whole extra classroom up and running.

Alan Robinson, executive principal at the Trust, said: "We are so grateful to Lakeside Village for the kind donation of this classroom equipment.

"The extra classroom space is perfect for additional lessons and thanks to Lakeside Village we can offer even more to students every single day."

Lakeside Village is no stranger to charitable donations, having recently raised £20,000 for its chosen charity of the year for 2017, Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

David Aunins, centre manager for Lakeside Village said: "We do all we can to help great local facilities like Doncaster Deaf Trust.

"We are pleased to hear how our donation has been put to use and the new facilities these tables and chairs have been able to create."
