A few of your questions answered!

Can I come for a pre-visit before my child starts Nursery?

We welcome visits from prospective parents and encourage this before parents apply for a place so they can be sure Little Learners Day Nursery is the right place for their child. A registration fee of £25 is required which includes three taster sessions. These are a one, two or three hour visit that allows us to talk to you, and for your child to receive important inforamtion about their routine and to ensure that the child settles into the nursery environment

Is the Nursery safe and secure? How does the security system work?

The children are always supervised and staffing ratios maintained at all times. Visitors to the nursery attend by prior appointment. Access for parents and visitors is only through a controlled entry system. Upon registration, specific information is requested relating to who is allowed to collect a child.

Are your staff police checked?

All staff members are police checked through the Criminal Records Bureau

When and how do I pay nursery fees?

An invoice will be sent out to you through your child's room. The fees are due on or before the first of each month. Our preferred methods of payment are cheque or credit card, however we do also take cash. We also accept childcare vouchers.

How do I book a holiday?

Children are entitled to two weeks holiday (pro-rata). Holidays must be booked a month in advance. Please request a holiday form from your child's room leader or at the reception desk.

If I want extra sessions what do I do?

As long as we are within our staffing ratio we will accommodate any extra sessions where possible. You can book these with a member of the management team or the Administration Assistant

Someone else is going to be collecting my child - do I need to let you know?

You must inform your child's room on drop-off and also inform managment/reception. A staff member will ask you to fill out a 'Temporary Collector Form' requesting information about the person collecting. It is your responsibility to ensure the collector has your child's password, as without it, he/she will be unable to pick your child up. We are also unable to allow children to leave the nursery with young people under the age of 16 years.

Do parents get feedback from staff?

Yes, feedback is given through the daily home diary in 0-3 years rooms and verbal feeback is given in the 3-5 years rooms. Drop-off and collection times enable parents to talk to their child's key person on a daily basis

Does the nursery provide food on-site?

All meals are prepared freshly on-site by a highly skilled catering team who provide all the catering needs for the Trust. The children are provided with healthy, well-balanced meals with fresh fruit and vegetables served daily. We cater for all dietary needs. Menu's are displayed and available on request
