We offer an industry standard workshop environment where learners are trained using real customer vehicles. Courses range from Entry to Level 3 and there are opportunities to learn customisation techniques. Opportunities for successful learners within this major industry are extensive. Work experience placements play an important role in preparing learners to the world of work.
C&G Award in Vehicle Systems and Maintenance Entry 3
The Award is suitable as the vocational subject-based learning component of the Foundation Learning Tier (FLT). The selection of the Personal and Social Development (PSD) Units within the Award also meets the FLT current requirement for credits of personal and social development learning.
C&G Certificate in Vehicle Systems Maintenance Level 1
This programme involves students studying both the theory and practical aspects of the following:
- Light vehicle constructions and routine maintenance
- Operating Principles of light vehicle engines, tyres, brakes, steering and suspension systems
- Operating Principles and maintenance of light vehicle transmission systems and electrical and electronic systems
C&G Certificate in Vehicle Maintenance Level 2
IMI Level 2 is a natural progression from Level 1 in the learner's chosen discipline. The programmes aims are to equip learners with the appropriate skills and knowledge necessary to enhance prospects of gaining full-time employment within the vehicle repair industry.
C&G Award in Airbrush and Custom Painting Level 1
This course is for students interested in learning to use airbrushes in artwork. Although much favoured by the Custom Car and Bike scene it is used by artists in many different spheres of their subject. Level 1 is an introductory course commencing with learning to control the airbrush, dots, lines, tapers, stars, circles and simple pictures. Along with the equipment, cleaning, maintenance and the importance of health and safety.
The course is open to anyone with an interest in airbrush work and they do not necessarily need to be interested in motor vehicles.
C&G in Accident Repair and Paint Refinishing Level 1 and Level 2
Programme of paint and repair to industry standards, with practice and theory to help gain employment in the trade.
