A few of your questions answered!

Can I go home often?

Yes, you get paid for travel at half-term and end of term. But you are free to go home at weekends whenever you want.

What if I don't like my course?

If the course you chose isn't right for you, then your tutor can talk to you about changing.

Will I have to share a room?

Our accommodation comprises both single and shared rooms and we will try and offer you a room that suits you. If you have a preference, please tell us when you come for your interview

I don't sign much is that ok?

Yes, some students use different methods to communicate, everyone adjusts. We operate as a "Total Communication" environment, so you are free to choose your preferred method.

Can I join the football team if I not on the Sports course?

Yes, have a word with the sports tutors and they will tell you about the sporting clubs and events you can join. Also, check out the Football section of this website.

Can I bring my car here?

Yes, we have car parking for staff and students. You will need to register your vehicle details with the main College reception.

Can I get medical care at the College?

The College has an on-site nurse who administers or arranges medical treatment for those students who require it. Most residential staff are qualified in First Aid and are available throughout the College day and night. Doncaster Royal Infirmary is only minutes away so any student needing emergency treatment can be dealt with quickly.

Students are encouraged to register with the College GP who visits the three times each week and has a local surgery with an extensive range of medical services available.

Is the Campus secure?

All student residences are staffed on a 24-hour basis and are locked during night hours. At night security staff patrol the College campus, which also has CCTV cameras in operation. For the protection of staff and students all College buildings have a sophisticated fire alarm system which is linked directly to South Yorkshire Fire Service.

Is there a uniform?

There is no formal uniform. You may wear what you choose provided that it is suitable for work in College and is not dirty, distracting or offensive to others.
